REMS/Wildland EMT and Paramedic
Triton Response deploys Wildland Paramedics and EMT's who work as part of a team of medical professionals either as a single resource or on an ambulance crew. As a member of our team, you will be working with the US Forest Service personnel and contract crews to provide medical care in hazardous areas during wildland fires.
Additionally, Triton Response provides wildland incidents with a Rapid Extraction Module Support (REMS Team). This is a team of two to four qualified low, steep, and high-angle rope rescue technicians. The team works together to provide firefighters, who are unable to egress under their own power, a safe and secure transport off the fire line, while simultaneously receiving the appropriate medical care they require. Our team of four consists of Emergency Medical Technicians and a minimum of one Paramedic.
These are all seasonal positions. Applying for one does not preclude you from the other types of deployments. Our Wildland deployment season typically starts in July and can go until late October. Triton Response sends medical crews on deployments from Northern Washington to Southern California and out east as far as Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico.
Deployments typically run between 16 and 23 days at a time.
